Get Involved!
We want to make it as easy as possible for our residents to get involved with what's going on and improve our services. There's also the chance to get involved online. Why not complete our online survey and let us know how you want to get involved. We have developed a strategy which has four key aims. These are:
- make involvement activities easier to take part in
- encourage a wider range of residents to take part
- make sure resident involvement leads to better services
- improve the value for money of involvement activities
The clear message that came across when we asked how you wanted to get involved was that involvement works best when it’s local. One feature of the new approach is that we will make sure opportunities are open to everyone. You won’t need to join one activity to be able to take part in another. If you are interested in something, for instance, the residents’ newsletter, we’ll agree how you can be involved in the way that you want. One of our core values is respect and we want to make sure that everyone feels able to join in our involvement activities, whether they ar meetings, or more informal activities such as fun days. These are the standards for involvement that people should expect in our activities,and we hope that everyone will work together to maintain these.
We will be offering a new opportunity by creating a review group for resident involvement. We hope residents will want to join in, making sure we are on track keeping you involved.
